What is Learn to Row?

Learn to Row is a 60-minute group session designed for people who are new to the sport. You’ll be introduced to the basics and get a feel for rowing before deciding whether you’d like to continue.

There is no obligation to join the club after your session.

What to wear

Wear comfortable sporting clothes that are not too loose and that you’re happy to get wet.

Safety

Participants must be able to swim 100 metres and should be comfortable around the water.

All Learn to Row sessions are conducted under the guidance of experienced rowing personnel, with participants introduced to the equipment, basic rowing techniques and on-water safety before getting underway.

Where to meet

Nepean Rowing Club Boatshed, Bruce Neale Drive, Penrith. The boatshed is approximately 100 metres from the licensed club.

Cost

$50 per person, paid prior to the session.
