Racing out in the city is normally seen as an opportunity to experience rougher water than we are accustomed to but today was an exception and we were, like the last weekend of racing greeted with great conditions. The racing began with the men’s D singles and saw Sam, Jooya, Ryan and Miles take to the water. Ryan and Miles went away with third placing's and this was followed up by a third by Tallara in the B single. The first of two quads for the days racing was up as Will, Pat, Campbell and Alaaddin contested the C quad. After a hard fight with rivals St George, the boys were beaten to the line by only four tenths of a second. The D quad of Jooya, Daniel, Will and Miles were out classed by a stronger Glebe crew who led from start to finish and they had to settle for second. Alaaddin contested the B single and after a hard start, he was unable to hold on to the leaders and fell back to fourth however he went on to race the C single later that day and took away third place. The final race of the day loomed and saw two crews take to the water for the D doubles. Campbell and Pat were racing side by side with Glebe from early on in the race and the two crews stayed on each other for the whole race. The Nepean boys were able to pull away and claim a two second win.
